The B&B Donna Elena is a family-owned palazzo dating back to the 1700s, which has retained its charm and distinctive features over the centuries. In 2015, it underwent a meticulous renovation, preserving the building’s historical and architectural heritage. The primary goal of this renovation was not so much to create a commercial business, but rather to revive this palazzo, which has a history and special significance for the family.

The name “Donna Elena” is a tribute to a family aunt, Donna Elena Del Viscio, who belonged to a well-known family from Vico del Gargano. In the 1950s, this house was the town’s “living room,” frequented by the mayor, the pharmacist, and all the prominent figures in Vico del Gargano’s social life.

The B&B’s five rooms are large and spacious, ranging from approximately 30 to 45 square meters, and feature painted vaulted ceilings, balconies, and windows. Some rooms retain their original flooring and walls, while the bathrooms have been modernized to offer guests maximum comfort. All rooms have private bathrooms, ensuring privacy and convenience.

The kitchen area, not accessible to guests, is also a piece of history: it dates back to the building’s original period and retains the brick stovetop and burners with slots for inserting burning coal, used for cooking.
